Right Now, Galaxy Note 7 is Samsung’s flagship smartphone. And now, Samsung is coming with its new flagship i.e. Galaxy S8. As we all are aware of exploding lithium-ion battery issues of Galaxy Note 7, which are really disastrous, people have lost their trust from Smasung. Samsung is aware of this fact, so they are doing a number of changes to the Galaxy S8. They have accelerated their work on their next flagship phone.

For Galaxy S8, Samsung is planning to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone port, which is a standard in the industry right now. This is going to happen first time. By doing this, Samsung will be able to reduce the thickness of Galaxy S8. Although, there are many other headphones, available in the market that support USB Type-C. There are rumors that Samsung is developing its own proprietary port to replace the standard 3.5mm port.
There are reports that Samsung will make two versions of Galaxy S8 next year and both will come with curved screens. Samsung Galaxy S7 has QHD display which is more enough for a phone, but it’s not quite up to scratch for VR. So, it is possible that Samsung will increase the resolution of Galaxy S8 to 4K, which is much high for a smartphone. There will be two versions of Galaxy S8, one with a 5.1-inch screen and other with a 5.5-inch screen. Samsung has already shown its 5.5-inch 2160*3840 screen, which has a pixel density of 806 pixels per inch (PPI). There is no guarantee that Samsung Galaxy S8 will get this screen, but this phone is perfectly fit for such a premium display.
Also, Samsung is doing hard at Curved screens. So it is possible company might not make Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge at all, and the Galaxy S8 will be a single curved variant only. Samsung will make curved versions in both 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch variant. There are rumors that Samsung is making foldable phones and they will launch a folding phone in 2017. But there is a risk, as they haven’t tested this before and it is a risky thing to test this with their flagship phone. They have to try on prototypes and previous versions before implementing on Galaxy S8.
